Youth & Family Services Coordinator (Full Time Position)
As Kara’s Youth & Family Services Coordinator you will work under the supervision of the Youth & Family Services Director to ensure 1) outreach, coordination, execution, and support of the Journeys Program, Kara’s school-based grief support initiative, and 2) operational and administrative support for all client services including on-going peer support groups, bereavement camp, workshops and volunteer coordination and engagement. A passion for our mission of serving the bereaved combined with proven interpersonal skills and a keen understanding program support elements are keys for success.

Serving the San Francisco Bay Area since 1976, Kara provides comprehensive grief support, crisis response and education to individuals and communities facing the difficult realities of death and dying. Serving more than 5,000 individuals in 2016, Kara provides a wide breadth of grief support and education services to the community including: individual and group peer support; in-house psychotherapy; on-site crisis intervention; bereavement education and training services; a bereavement camp for children 6-17 years old; and community events.
