Summer 2020 Mindful Self-Compassion Online Course

Mindful Self-Compassion ~ A Six Week Course 

THIS COURSE IS ONLINE

Join Hilary & Liz for a virtual course in mindful self-compassion. As we find ourselves living through such unsettling times, lets take the opportunity to nourish and deepen care for ourselves.  We’ll offer teachings, exercises and guided meditations to plant the seeds of compassion in community.

This course is aimed at building and enhancing skills to:

  • Offer compassion to oneself and others
  • Handle overwhelming emotions with greater ease
  • Approach difficult situations with more calm and clarity
  • Reconnect with values that help in finding purpose
Six Wednesdays,  July 8 – August 12 (5:00 – 6:00 pm PST)
(first class on July 8th until 6:30pm)

Course Fee*:  $120, sliding scale available

About the Facilitators

Hilary Borison  is a trained teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion through the UCSD Center for Mindfulness and is a graduate of the Sati Center Chaplaincy Program which she applies in her peer grief support work at Kara.  Since 2004 she has practiced mindfulness at Insight Meditation Center in Redwood City where she facilitates the Women’s Circle of Mindfulness, leads the family program, and serves as a mentor in the Eightfold Path Program.

Liz Fitzgerald is a graduate of the Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher Training program, has spent many hours as a compassionate companion to hospital patients as a volunteer chaplain.  She will will be graduating from the Smith College School for Social Work.
