Please join us for a meaningful evening of remembrance where reflections on the themes of Memory, Hope, Love, Courage and Community come together with live music as we honor loved ones who have died.  This online service will be held via Zoom videoconferencing and is open to all. Since we cannot be together this year due continued health precautions related to the coronavirus pandemic, we are hosting this online service of remembrance.  The service will culminate with a collective candle-lighting as each online participant ‘lights’ a candle in honor and memory of their deceased loved ones. Feel free to use a standard or electronic candle as part of the closing ceremony.

Dado que este año no podemos estar juntos debido a las continuas precauciones de salud relacionadas con la pandemia de coronavirus, vamos a ofrecer este servicio de conmemoración en línea. La ceremonia culminará con una encendida colectiva de velas, en la cual cada participante en línea enciende una vela en honor y memoria a los seres queridos que han fallecido. Puede usar cualquier tipo de vela como parte de la ceremonia.

If  you would like a Kara branded electric 2.5″ votive candle to use as part of the service, you can pick one up during the two weeks prior to the service a the Kara main office.  The office at 457 Kingsley Avenue in Palo Alto will be open during the following times to pick up a votive:

Monday 11/22,  9am – 5pm
Tuesday 11/23,  9am – 1pm
Monday 11/29,  9am – 5pm
Wednesday 12/1,  9am – 3pm
Wednesday 12/8, 9am – 2pm

These candles are offered complimentary to our community (one per person) while supplies last.
