2019 Navigating the Holidays Workshop
October 19, 2019

Kara is offering a peer support group for adults who are caring for a loved one approaching the end of life. This group is designed to provide a safe, supportive environment where you can explore and process anticipatory grief, with a focus on the unique challenges of caregiving during this time.

Caregiving can take many forms—whether you're providing day-to-day physical care or offering emotional support from a distance, your experience is valid, and all caregivers are welcome.

Caregiving—mentally, emotionally, and physically—can be overwhelming. Without proper support, it can lead to frustration, burnout, or emotional exhaustion. Our goal is to ease your journey by offering:

  • Information and resources to help navigate the caregiving role
  • A non-judgmental space to share your experiences with others who understand
  • Guidance for self-care and maintaining emotional and physical well-being
  • Support for personal growth and building resilience

When: 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month, 1:00 – 2:30 PM
Where: In person at Kara, 457 Kingsley Ave, Palo Alto, CA
Upcoming Dates: October 2, 16, 30; November 6, 20; December 4, 18

If you are interested in learning more about this offering or enrolling in this group, please contact sonia@kara-grief.org. An intake is required prior to joining the group in an effort to learn more about you and your grief journey as well as share with you more details and logistics of the group.
