Hilary Borison is a trained teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion through the UCSD Center for Mindfulness and is a graduate of the Sati Center Chaplaincy Program which she applies in her peer grief support work at Kara. Since 2004 she has practiced mindfulness at Insight Meditation Center in Redwood City where she facilitates the Women’s Circle of Mindfulness, leads the family program, and serves as a mentor in the Eightfold Path Program.
Judy Long is an out-patient palliative care chaplain and educator at UCSF with neurology, oncology, and the MERI Center for Education in Palliative Care. Judy is a trained teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) and a certified instructor and senior teacher of Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT), as well as an instructor of other mindfulness based interventions. She teaches in person as well as live-online and offers special workshops on request. Judy serves on the Chaplaincy Council at Insight Meditation Center.
