Mother’s Day is Sunday May 9th. For many people, this day is a celebratory occasion to honor mothers by spending time with family, gifting presents, and sharing stories. For others, Mother’s Day can be a difficult holiday to celebrate. Individuals who have experienced the death of their mother (or mother-like figure), child, a neonatal death, a miscarriage, or infertility may be confronting feelings of loss instead. If you have experienced a loss that makes Mother’s Day difficult to celebrate, please know you are not alone. We hope this book can offer some support as you navigate this day.
