Adult Services Associate (Part Time Position)
Kara is seeking an individual who desires to be an integral team member of a unique organization that has delivered healing to the community for over 40 years. As Kara’s Adult Services Program Associate you will work under the supervision of the Adult Services Director to ensure efficient and effective operational and administrative support for all client services, including on-going peer groups, one-one one peer support, workshops and volunteer coordination and engagement. Serving the San Francisco Bay Area since 1976, Kara provides comprehensive grief support, crisis response and education to individuals and communities facing the difficult realities of death and dying. Serving more than 5,000 individuals in 2016, Kara provides a wide breadth of grief support and education services to the community including: individual and group peer support; in-house psychotherapy; on-site crisis intervention; bereavement education and training services; Camp Erin, a bereavement camp for children 6-17 years old; and community events.
