Welcome to our new website.

At Kara, we are committed to serving the grieving in our community.  Our vision is to see people of all ages compassionately supported on their journey through grief so they can move toward renewed hope and meaning.

Our goal is to make it as easy as possible to connect you to the services that meet your unique needs.  As part of that philosophy, we have launched an all-new website, with improved navigation, enhanced information and more streamlined ways for you to connect with us and learn about our services.

What’s New

Our Support For section provides a list of recommended services for families, individuals,  schools and organizations and you’ll find comprehensive sections for our service offerings, volunteer opportunities, ways to give, and our newest service provision for Spanish speakers.  Additionally, our FAQs section helps to answer some of the most common questions asked about our services.

In our Resources section, you’ll find helpful information for adults, children, families, caregivers and organizations in navigating the challenges of grief and loss, understanding the grieving process, and supporting grieving family members, friends, and colleagues.  For current Volunteers,  you’ll find our “volunteers only” Portal Login at the bottom of the home page and after logging in you’ll find all our standard volunteer tools, information and documents.

Our new Blog will include articles about grief and loss, e-news archives, Kara service highlights and announcements, and relevant information about community partners. The Kara Calendar lists our drop-in groups along with other agency-wide service offerings.

Our new site has also been optimized for use on mobile devices, so it’s easier to keep up with us when you’re on the go!

Please take some time to explore everything our new site has to offer, and let us know about your experience. You can use our new web contact form to let us know what you think, give us ideas, or suggest something you’d like us to include in the future.

Finally,  I wanted to recognize  and thank the New York Life Foundation for their Grief Reach grant which helped fund the development of our new website. We are extremely grateful for their support!

With gratitude,

Jim Santucci, CPA
Executive Director
